Festival Des Fleurs Faux

Flowers in the Window by Travis on Grooveshark

My first trip to the local Depot Vente yielded little!

On the plus side I didn't spend any euros, but... quelle domage!
no treasures today!

I was tempted by this pile of 78"s but decided against, my decision based on the fact that I don't own a gramophone.

0ld 78"s
What I did find was a flourish of fake flowers...lots of them!

I am not a lover of fake flowers and my superstitious side says it is unlucky to have fake flowers in the house (and dead flowers too!) but I did enjoy taking these photos, they brightened up a very wet and windy day in Normandie.

It's been raining quite a bit since I arrived in Normandie

Enjoy my festival of flowers...Bon journée!

A little more tasteful I think!

...not sure about these!

I'm getting a bit nervous now!

I'll be off very soon to start my new adventure in France so I am listening to this to get me in the zone

J'attendrai by Tino Rossi on Grooveshark

These are the things I am really looking forward to:

I can't wait to see my lovely Jim!

Walks on the beach

Taking nice walks.

My beautiful grandchildren

Au revoir!

Away for a week...See you when I get back!

Next week I'll be here...

My French Home

I'll be sipping a Pastis overlooking this!

...and walking it off here

In the evening I may take a stroll along the beach

Might also take a ride to Briquebec for market day

...do a little reading

...drink a little wine

...and then a little more!
...then perhaps a plat du jour overlooking this!

 Jusqu'a la prochaine fois!

I rescued this little chap...he recovered and flew again!
What have I been up to this week?
Well I have learnt to Tweet!
Why?
Apparently it will draw people to my blog and Etsy shop
Did it work?
What a very weird phenomenon (there's a word I can't say), talking to a load of complete strangers about nothing much.
What has happened to a nice chat over a cup of tea, a bit of harmless gossip or a full on heated discussion face to face?
If you fancy a chat, get on the phone to friend or family, If you are really desperate get in a queue and start talking to the person next to you, this last is advice taken at your own risk (people often think you're bonkers), but hey! Let's keep the art of conversation alive!
Call me old fashioned or a   Grumpy Old Woman....but I just don't get it.

While writing this I have realised that there is a bit of a bird theme running through my life at the moment.

My daughter bought me this lovely Alabaster pigeon for Mother's Day

Then I found this in a charity shop

...and more owls like this to be listed in my Etsy Shop very soon

If you are reading this blog after finding me through Twitter...I take it all back!
Modern technology...What a wonderful thing!
